Visa waiver for visitors from the USA, Canada, and Australia to Brazil extended until April 2025

On April 09th, the Brazilian government issued a decree further extending the Visa waiver for American, Canadian, and Australian citizens visiting Brazil.

With this new measure, the Visitor’s Visa requirement for tourists and business travelers entering Brazil will be reinstated on April 10, 2025.

The extension is the result of an agreement between the Brazilian federal government and its legislators, following weeks of discussion in the National Congress. The decision by the government to reinstate the Visa requirement back in 2023 faces strong opposition among lawmakers, who believe that the measure could harm the flow of tourists from these countries to Brazil.
